Clean nonstick pan before the first use

Before using a new nonstick pan, you should wash over it with dishwashing liquid to clean the pan surface. Then you spread a layer of coffee powder on the nonstick surface and put on the stove to heat. After a few minute, turn off the stove and rinse the pan again. In doing so, you will deodorize the new paint for the nonstick pan to increase durability and easy to clean after cooking.

Put oil in nonstick pan before turning on the stove

Most women have the habit of heating the pan before putting oil, but this way only suitable to cast iron or aluminum pans. With nonstick pan, the elasticity of metal is the main cause of protruding bottom of a pan.

With the principle that material will expand upon the effect of heat, if the pan is too hot with nothing inside, the material will expand and cause protruding bottom of a pan.

Do not rub metal thing into the nonstick pan

Do not use abrasive materials such as metal knives, clamps or spoons to move foods. You should cook foods with wooden or bamboo chopsticks and spoons as well as clean the pan with a sponge or soft cloth and avoid to use metal dishwashing pieces.

Proper cooking temperature, not more than 260ºC

You should cook food with a medium flame, not use the biggest fire for nonstick pans. Where you cannot exactly know the proper temperature, the fire should only be concentrated in the middle of the bottom of the nonstick pan.

The fire should not overflow the bottom of the pan and do not put the fire higher the pan wall. This can easily damage the fire and cause a fire.

Clean the pan with warm water

After using the pan, you should not put it in cold water. Let the pan cool down, use paper towel to clean grease on its surface, then clean it with warm water and dishwashing liquid. This will help to remove grease and dirt quickly.

Do not let salt or food residues stick to the pan for too long which will make it difficult to clean the pan.

Preserve the pan by hanging

Hanging the pan on a high shelf is the best way to preserve the nonstick pan. Do not let another pot or pan overlap the nonstick pan to avoid scratching or deforming the pan.

Finally, you should not use the pan when the paint on its surface has been peeled off. You should replace the pan when it has this phenomenon!
