“Building the country as well as the business development, there must be orientation, vision and core values for the country towards the same, the country is a huge enterprise.”

We often refer to the concept of “flat world” as a testimony to global integration, economic development, a limitless, strong integration. There are also stories about national branding, about how do we rank in the world about indicators, but if are we wondering what the Vietnamese are really thinking? What do they need, instead of evaluating what other countries see in us?

Vietnam has experienced many serious moments to get as it is today, our fathers fighting for social ideals, for independence and freedom, to concentrate economy to escape poverty. They share an ideal, a purpose and a strong belief in the path of the country. What do young people today have? Be economical, knowledgeable, have the opportunity but are they ideal, have the confidence to fight and build stronger country? The harassment, falsehood, troublesome occurs daily, in every activity that the Vietnamese people are losing faith and will to the country.

The country wants to develop, not just from the fact that we open the economy at all costs. A country as well as a business that wants to grow requires a belief in the foundation for development, a vision, and a so-called “core value” for development. In this way, each individual in the group has the ideal and orientation for his actions.

Personally I always concern, the US has Apple, Japan has Honda, Korea has Samsung, why can not Vietnam have such a giant corporation. The wisdom of the Vietnamese is not inferior to other countries in the world, we have the hard work spirit  left from our father, a national self-esteem, strong willpower to bring the country “to shoulder with the great powers” so why we have not done yet. This is because we do not have synchronous policies, the direction of the ministries, departments and branches, resulting to loss of self-confidence, loss of confidence of businesses, the community for their own capacity.

So, I think, the government’s job right now is to rebuild faith and ideals for the community, giving economic development responsibility to businesses. The government should play the role of guiding the policy and building the core values of the nation so that industries and sectors can be implemented in a coordinated manner to create a total power for the economy.
