Now, RO water filtration is the necessary product, present in every household to protect and upgrade health, especial when the quality of water source in many places is not safe to use.

However, after a period of trying the product, user must replace the machine core filter to ensure the cleanliness of water as well as the machine longevity. In order to change the filter on time and correctly, the user need to understand function and the time to replace the basic raw filter, RO filter and additional core. Together with Kangaroo to find the function of the raw cores, which have short longevity and need to take care in the periodically.

The main function of these raw filters is keep the impurity compounds within the water source when it going through the filter and absorb the organic matter, eliminate smell, residue of chlorine in water… After a period of using, those impurities will accumulate at the core filter with many bacteria that can block the membrane or cause the reverse osmotic then harm the water source. Thus, in order to have the best water purifier for your health, you should change the core filter by periodically.

Time to replace raw core filter on the RO Kangaroo:

Core filter number 1: PP 5 Micron

  • Structure: PP Fiber making the 5 micrometer slit
  • Function: Eliminate dirt, clay, rust in water source, water pipe … which size bigger than 5 micrometer (equivalent with 1/10 human hair)
  • Replacement time: 3 to 6 months (or 18.000 water litters)

Core filter number 2: 10 Carbon Granule Cartridge (G.A.C)

  • Structure: Styrofoam activated carbon (a type of carbon activated at high temperature in anaerobic environment)
  • Function: smell eliminate, organic substance, insecticide, pesticide, heavy metals, chlorine residue in water
  • Replacement time: 6 to 9 months (or 27,000 liters of water)

Filter core 3: PP 1 Micron

  • Structure: PP yarn creates a gap of 1 micrometer
  • Functions: crust filter, mud, rust in water source, pipeline … with size more than 1 micrometer
  • Replacement: 9 to 12 months (or 36,000 liters of water)

However, the replacement of the water purifier’s core filter period is only relative because the R/O membrane life depends on many factors. In fact, the replacement of the filter core mostly depends on the quality of the water source and the using frequency of the household.

If your family use the water from company that provide clean water, which mean raw impurities was filtered, then the using time of core filter equivalent with the number we provide above. If water source directly get from wells, or direct sources then the replacement time should be shorter. For all the filter stage, if the water source is not ensured (using the water from wells), so the replacement time will have to be 3 to 4 months earlier than recommend instruction by experts and manufacturers.

The replacement of the water purifier’s core filter period is only relative because the R/O membrane life depends on many factors like the quality of water source, or frequency of using of each household in different timeframe.

If your family use the water from company that provide clean water, which mean raw impurities was filtered, then the using time of core filter equivalent with the number we provide above. If water source directly get from wells, water got infection from limestone, alum… then the replacement time have to be shorten or need to be handling before transfer it to water purifier.
