Apply ozone sterilization technology for water pumps

The ozone sterilization technology has been successfully used by Kangaroo’s home appliance maker in Vietnam, after one year of research and testing.

This technology is applied on the natural cleaning mechanism of ozone to help clean bacteria without changing the ingredients. Ozone is a natural cleansing agent capable of purifying the air, sterilizing, detoxifying, deodorizing. It has been used in the manufacture of life-support devices, especially in medicine.

Unlike other cleansers, ozone does not form compounds such as chlorine, does not exist in water after its effects. Therefore, the water through the antibacterial pump becomes sterile without altering the composition.

The product was registered patent utility solution at the National Office of Intellectual Property of Vietnam.

Water-based antimicrobial pump that uses ozone technology

According to Prof. Nguyen Hoang Nghi, head of ozone research subject, the University of Technology, ozone is known as a valuable natural cleaning agent. In nature, ozone forms in the atmosphere from oxygen molecules under the action of ultraviolet light. When it rains, the thunderstorms will produce ozone that cleans the air. Therefore, after each thunderstorm, the air is generally healthier.

Ozone chemical formula is O3 is not stable, difficult to maintain, easy to decompose in a short time, if exposed to steam, the resolution will be faster. O3 when decomposed to form oxygen molecules (O2) and oxygen atoms (O). Oxygen (O) atoms have a negative charge, so they will constantly pick up electrons from healthy cells to neutralize. Cells lost oxygen will age and die very quickly. That is the principle of bactericidal, deodorizing ozone. Thanks to this ability, it has been used in bactericide in the Netherlands since the 1880s. However, major applications for the health or water treatment sector are narrow gauges such as vegetables, fruit and air purifiers. This is the first time that Kangaroo ozone has been applied to large and direct water treatment.

Mr.Lai Trung Tung, director of the research and product development institute of Kangaoo, said that the idea of ​​product formation comes from the needs of people. According to Tung, water resources in Vietnam have three main sources: drilled wells, rain water and fresh water systems. However, for all three water sources, the level of infection is very large.

Water types such as drilled wells, rivers, lakes and rainwater are not only infested with organic impurities. In addition to the clean water system, although treated upstream, there is still bacterial contamination when water is supplied to the households through the pipeline. Therefore, Kangaroo has come up with a solution for the end-source water treatment. Accordingly, at every household, as soon as used, ozone will be mixed with water and promote its direct effect. Research and experiments show that the ability of sterilization of ozone water pumps is 99%, bacteria such as intestinal bacteria, tuberculosis are destroyed in this country. In addition, the product also helps increase oxygen in water, arsenic precipitation, pesticides precipitation, clearance of deodorant, residual substances in water.

“The product has been researched, tested and tested within one year with thorough inspection by the Vietnam Directorate for Standards and Quality (VACAC), the central accreditation body with 99% sterilization capability, removing arsenic to 70%. Machines will be released in the near future” the manufacturer added.
